3 THINGS THAT DECIDE HOW THEY FIT
It will take just a moment.
Go through the individual points with us and make the right choice.
1. SIZE
If you choose the wrong size, nothing else matters anymore. Everything will be wrong from the start.
2. CUT
More sensitivity for catching or, conversely, a solid grip against hard shots? You have 4 cuts to choose from.
3. FOAM
The material of the palm determines how hard of a hit you'll take or also how sure your grip will be in wet conditions.
SIZE
1. MEASURE THE WIDTH OF YOUR PALM
Really do it . Especially if you are getting your first BU1 gloves . Each manufacturer has a different fit and our sizes may not exactly correspond to those of another company.
A. Take a measuring tape - tape measure or textile tape measure, in the worst case a ruler is enough.
B. Open your palm and measure the width below the base of the fingers - excluding the thumb.
C. Find the corresponding size in the chart.
SIZE / PALM WIDTH
size 4 / 5-6 cm
size 5 / 6-7 cm
size 6 / 7-8 cm
size 7 / 8-9 cm
size 8 / 9-9.5 cm
size 9 / 9.5-10 cm
size 10 / 10-11 cm
size 11 / 11-12 cm
IF YOUR GLOVES ARE TOO SMALL, THEY WILL SPREAD SOON
Because the seams will be extremely stressed. And you can't spread your fingers properly in them and catch shots that you would normally cover.
WHEN THE GLOVES ARE TOO BIG THEY SLIP OFF THE PALMS
And your hands will literally swim inside, it will never have the right feel and even with the best foam you won't be able to grip the ball properly.
SHEAR
2. FIND YOUR CUT
There is no single best cut. But there is a best fit for you . So look for one that meets your expectations.
NEGATIVE CUT (NC)
The seams are hidden inside, the foam wraps around the fingers and the gloves are rather tighter - they fit the hands and bring more feel for the ball.
" That's what I like best. When the gloves fit tightly around the fingers and I can feel the ball in my hands better, " praises Negative Cut Roman Valeš from Bohemians Praha .
" Then I have the greatest certainty in my hands, " says Dominik Holec from Sparta Prague .
ROLL FINGER (RF)
The seams are placed on the outside, so you get the largest possible contact surface . Roll Finger is the solution if you want bulkier gloves.
" Balloons fly much faster these days and I also like thicker gloves. That's why I chose Roll Finger, " Jan Laštůvka, star of Baník in Ostrava, explains his approach. And the same cut is used by Dušan Kuciak from Lechia Gdansk .
HYLA
They have internal stitching and yet you will not register any seams inside. Magic? A bit. The Hyla cut is fitted directly to the hand , which guarantees a perfect feel for the ball. It's just such a specialty, but you'll probably fall for it quite quickly. Like Jan Čtvrtečka from Prague's Dukla .
HYBRID NC
Difficult decision? If you don't know which cut to choose , start with this one. Hybrid NC combines Negative Cut with other cuts. And when you get an idea of what suits you, you can move on to a more defined cut. Or you end up staying with the Hybrid NC. Jan Šeda from Mladá Boleslav, for example, anchored with him.
FOAM
3. PATCH IT WITH PROPER FOAM
4 mm of professional foam that sticks even the cannon from behind the lime. And without spraining your thumb. This is the basis of all BU1 gloves.
