Summer transfers - part four: goalkeeper moves, the return of a legend
The next part of the summer transfers is here and we are internally happy in BU1, because the main transfer attraction of the last week was goalkeepers. And one of them is one of our goalkeepers.
Czech footballers on the move
This week must have been very exciting for the Czech fan's eyes, as there have been some very significant transfers. Czech goalkeeper Vítězslav Jaroš is leaving Liverpool for another loan, this time to Ajax Amsterdam, where he should become the club's number one, replacing veteran Remko Pasveer.
Jaroš has a unique chance to sell his potential and skills in the jersey of a famous club. And there will be many opportunities for that, Ajax will play in the Champions League in addition to fighting for the Eredivisie title, and for the Czech goalkeeper it could be an opportunity to show the Reds what a treasure they have in him.
Baník Ostrava's protégé Filip Kaloč is also changing his jersey abroad. After a successful stint in Kaiserslautern, he was bought by the famous Bulgarian club Ludogorets Razgrad for three million euros.
Kaloč thus shows that moving abroad was the right choice and if he gets through the Champions League qualifying rounds with Ludogorets to the league stage, his price could skyrocket.
The legend returns to Italy
More good news for Czech fans: the legendary striker, who played for Ústí nad Labem or Teplice, Edin Džeko, is moving back to the Italian league, specifically to Fiorentina.
The 39-year-old Bosnian striker has spent the past two seasons at Fenerbahce, scoring 46 competitive goals and assisting another 13. His name is still hugely popular in Italy, with great seasons at AS Roma and Inter Milan, and Fialkot fans can look forward to his attacking prowess.
Dzeko is just two goals away from scoring 100 goals in the Italian league. Will he reach that milestone at Fiorentina?
Spicy transfer in Spain
It's rare to find yourself moving to your biggest rival, even if that rival is much more famous. But that's not the case with Joan García. The young Spanish goalkeeper is moving from Espanyol to FC Barcelona for 25 million euros, where he will be in the company of Szczesny or ter Stegen.
Many clubs, including Real Madrid and Manchester United, were interested in Garcia, but he preferred to stay at Barcelona, albeit in a rival shirt. It will also be interesting to see how Barca solve their goalkeeping conundrum.
BU1 and transfers
BU1 is heading to Teplice, or rather one of our goalkeepers, Matouš Trmal. He already spent the past season in Teplice on loan from Mladá Boleslav, and now he will play in the Teplice jersey permanently. And if the planned transfer of the club into the hands of businessman Milan Kratina is confirmed, it will be interesting to follow the events in the North Bohemian club.
The future of Radek Vítek was discussed in one of the previous parts , he spent last season in BW Linz, now he will be replaced by another young goalkeeper from the Czech Republic, namely Viktor Baier from Pilsen. The 20-year-old goalkeeper has already shown his potential in European cups, now after Radek Vítek the bar is set quite high, but considering the potential of the club and the player himself, it is a connection that makes sense.
