What was the year 2018 like for BU1?

Jaký byl pro BU1 rok 2018 - BU1

Another year has passed. Another year full of raised trophies and caught goals. Many of you joined our family of goalkeepers just last year. On the other hand, some of you have been with us since the very beginning, watching every new innovation, every new model... And we would like to use this infographic to show you what 2018 was like for us!

Last year was undoubtedly our most successful one yet. We came up with many innovations, and the most important one was the introduction of “half sizes”. Yes, the introduction of half sizes was something that not only you, but we too, had longed for quite a while. After all, every hand is different, and since we want to make the best gloves in the world, we need to cater to each of those hands as much as possible. Nevertheless, the best-selling size remained the nine .[/nt] It accounts for almost a quarter of all orders. A huge point of interest is also that children's sizes are not lagging behind. The best-selling children's size is the six, which accounted for almost one-seventh of all gloves sold. You can take a look at the detailed chart below, which shows what percentage each size represented:

As for the models themselves, we really didn't sit idle last year. Not only did we showcase a new model line Signal, which was immediately loved by a significant number of footballers, both amateurs and professionals, but we also improved several others. For example, it's worth mentioning the change of strap on the Classic model, which we replaced with a sturdy neoprene one. The All Black modelalso underwent significant changes, receiving a sort of facelift. This model leads the sales figures, although closely following it is the Sunshine model. Another major change was the introduction of two highly sought-after models, namely Blue and Black and White. In total, we ended 2018 with 45 different models. You can take a closer look at the sales of our gloves in the chart below:

Big changes also occurred with the cuts. Not entirely from our side, but rather from yours. More and more goalkeepers are trying our hybrid cuts, which, as it seems, have proven themselves. While the popular Negative Cutstill leads in sales, the Hybrid Cut is quickly catching up. The first chart shows only the Czechoslovak market, while the second one is global.

Now, let's take a look at those sales figures that have been mentioned several times. It's worth noting that this number also includes pairs sold wholesale, to football clubs and goalkeeper schools. Of course, the main share comes from gloves sold through our e-shop or at our office :) The total number of gloves we sold in 2018 exceeds 12,000 pairs. An incredible number! So, where do we put all these gloves? We are happy to show you! Our gloves are actually making magic on the fields fromhalf the world. We have sold products to countries on all continents except Antarctica, and the number of countries where our products have already made an appearance is constantly increasing. As of January 2019, the map looks like this: (countries where we have sold at least 1 pair are marked in pink).

Great, right? Let's be honest, we are satisfied, but we don't intend to rest on our laurels. We are preparing a lot of new things for 2019. But you'll see for yourself…
