Who are we and what led us to establish BU1?
We are two guys from Opava who decided to change the market for goalkeeper gloves. We both play, but neither of us was satisfied with the gloves we used. So we tried to make a few pairs for ourselves and our friends, which we were extremely happy with. And so we decided that we wanted to offer gloves to all of you as well. Lukáš has several e-shops under his belt and plays in the third league for Petřkovice. Petr is a consultant in the field of processes, a trainer, an instructor, and he also has several online stores behind him. He plays in the regional league for Háj ve Slezsku.
What is our biggest success so far and what do we value the most?
It's hard to say, but we are happiest when we receive a nice message or photo from goalkeepers who use our gloves. It's amazing that we also receive orders from other countries, sometimes even from different continents. But above all, we are glad that our wish is coming true: that boys from the lowest leagues and professionals playing in the first league wear the same gloves.
What allows us to compete with big brands?
We dedicate a lot of time to our customers, we try to respond quickly to all messages, inquiries, and emails, although it’s true that there have been quite a lot lately and some messages are really worth it. We love to share your photos on Facebook and Instagram as proof that we appreciate every new order. We simply love our work and we are really happy that many goalkeepers from the Czech Republic and abroad trust our gloves.
What motivates us and sparks our passion at work?
We love seeing goalkeepers with our gloves. Whether it's on TV or at various youth tournaments. We also feel great when an email with the subject 'New Order' comes in and we can get to work... We enjoy creating new models, innovating, and coming up with cool features that improve both performance and appearance.
What are our plans for the future?
We would like to release a new model every six months. Of course, we are also planning smaller innovations, although there’s nothing yet that we consider unnecessary or obstructive. We would also love to expand our range with t-shirts, which will soon be added to our caps. One of our longer-term plans is to create a full-fledged goalkeeper community where you can read interesting articles or interviews, watch engaging videos, or chat with other goalkeepers. However, we can promise that you really have something to look forward to!
